New Release

The opposite of rejection is acceptance. I’ve had plenty of rejection in this writing life. The stack of letters I’ve saved over the years sits in a file drawer. I keep them, thinking one day I might go back and read them again, but I never do. I just collect more.

It’s partly because of that folder full of carefully worded and imaginative ways of saying no, that I’m so excited to be a part of The Sexy Librarian’s Dirty Thirty Vol. 2, released today. My story, ‘Spider Two Come In,’ is part of this steamy erotic anthology and I couldn’t be more proud.

Acceptance, no matter how rare, makes the rejections worth it.

Be warned. I don’t read only one genre, so it only makes sense to me to write in multiple genres as well. ‘Spider Two Come In,’ is pure, unflinching, uncensored, erotic romance.

Here is how the anthology is described:

The Sexy Librarian, Rose Caraway returns with another Library of Erotica, just for you. From Torrid Literature to BDSM, Fairy Tales to Orgies, Clandestine Military Adventures to Bi-Curious Rendezvous, this adventurous, and fantasy-filled collection is here to turn you on. So grab your partner and peruse the card catalog and see which sexy story catches your interest first. This is your very own, hand-held library! Explore this volume of Erotica to your libido's content.

See that line about Clandestine Military Adventures? Yeah, that’s where they're talking about the story written by this girl (doing the double thumb point).

It’s amazing to be included in such a carefully curated collection. Readers of the genre know anything with Rosa Caraway’s name on it is bound to be the best erotica has to offer. And to my story, Rose Caraway said yes.

Pick up the ebook now. Audio versions will be out later. I will let you know when my guest blog post is scheduled to appear on The Librarian’s blog. Grab your copy and let me know what you think!

  1. Yay Mary! So glad to hear this. And I love the cover the picture with the girl in the beautiful purple dress hooray for purple !

On the rejection letters you get back to any of them ever offer thoughts or advice? Or are they just saying your material is not what we're looking for at this time or something bland like that?

    1. I only have a handful of form letters. Most of them gave me 'reasons' for the rejection. When my agent was shopping my novel around I got some pretty detailed rejections. Most of them praising the work, the story, the mystery and then there was a 'but'...and the but was usually about race. She either wasn't black enough, or they didn't think there would be much of a market for the books.
